why did you set up scalr?

There are no shortcuts to building a successful business. The experience I have gained, and the expertise I can provide, have come from over 15 years of learning in the trenches. I understand what success looks like, having worked with some of the region’s fastest growing organisations over the past decade - Xero, Zendesk and Slalom.

When I arrived in this country in 2015, I had no network, I knew one person! So I established the Melbourne Recruitment Meetup to create one. We now have over 1,750 members and the most connected community of TA and recruitment professionals in Australia. The connections I have created have been a big part of my success.

I understand the challenges that start-ups, scale-ups and SME businesses face. I’m in a prime position to support organisations to drive growth and create teams and processes that enable businesses to scale successfully.

how does your pricing model work?

I aim to provide flexible and cost-effective rates that are tailored to the scope of the project. This is either on a day-rate basis for shorter engagements or project-based pricing for a longer undertaking, to reflect the value delivered.

In addition, I also provide a monthly retainer model that provides consistent and reliable ongoing support for an organisation’s TA needs. This ensures you continue to have support and advice when needed in order to successfully scale and grow.

how do you like to work?

My approach has always revolved around three key principles: consistency, transparency and collaboration.

I love working with leaders to really understand what keeps them up at night when it comes to TA. This is such a critical area to set up for success, especially in a business about to embark on a growth journey.

Everything I do is with the best interests of the organisation in mind. This is what has allowed me to create bespoke solutions and see previous TA functions flourish.
